Testimonials
"I can't say enough wonderful things! My mom is 86 years old and has been a resident at Shearwater for the past two years. There are so many things that go on throughout the day to keep my mom's mind sharp as can be. Bingo, arts and crafts, exercises and weekly non-denominational prayer service just to name a few. Whenever I unexpectedly drop in, I'm never disappointed! All of the staff are attentive, really friendly and really care about the well-being of each and every resident...and last but not least, the food! My mom always talks about how "yummy" the meals are, and she especially looks forward to the made-to-order breakfasts. Shearwater is my mom's "home away from home". She's very happy and content in her cozy community. -Lisa B.
"Shearwater immediately struck us as being warm and friendly, with a family-style atmosphere, and it proved to be exactly that. All of the staff could not have made Mom feel more welcome. The facility is light and airy and very clean, and the surrounding deck provides a lovely place for the residents to be safely outside in good weather. Mom lived at Shearwater Residence for 19 months, and was under Hospice care the last two months before she passed away. The Shearwater staff worked closely with the hospice staff to ensure Mom's wellbeing and comfort. We are incredibly happy that we found Shearwater for our mother. Mom loved it there. -The Family of Mary Jane D.
"I just want to express my gratitude for the kindness and gentleness that all of the caregivers gave to my mom. She could feel a sense of peace and love there. Your facility has warmth and love that pours out of the walls. Thank you again for loving my mom" . -Terri.
